calculator. BMI is useful to assess the weight status of adults.

classification according to the World Health Organisation (WHO, 2006).

 After many years of working in the financial services industry, we decided to make a lifestyle and career change inorder to achieve greater creativity and fulfilment in our lives. We were no longer interested in working for large corporations that focussed on money, rather than the individual or community. Our lifestyles were becoming increasingly unhealthy, and we had begun to feel the effects on our overall wellbeing. It was these factors that led us in 2002 to resign from our jobs and retrain ourselves in the health services industry. This was a big commitment for us because entering into a new industry was very challenging. But importantly, it offered us the opportunity to fulfill our dreams, and help others in a refreshing and significant way.
The realisation that there was more to life gave us the impetus to take the next big leap of faith; to start our own business. We realised our combined knowledge of nutrition and psychology could help people regain good health. Owning our own business would also give us the flexibility to spend more time as a family, and be able to contribute to the health of the community. So we developed and created Appetite Right. Diets often focus on food and nutrition, but by adding psychology to the program, we help people better understand why they are eating, which really helps them control their appetite and keep the weight off long-term.
